This quote has stuck to me like anything-
“It’s a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don’t give it the power to do its killing.”
This is a fict-book about a cancer survivor teenage girl who do not like to mingle with anyone other than her parents and she is forced to go a support group where her life changes drastically. Girl meets boy and they fall in love but the twist is that there’s cancer – gone but actually not gone.
This book is humorous at some points but sad at many. It talks about the cancer survivors and those who aren’t survivors. It will also make you love your dear life for what you have, make you imagine those kids and people who do not have their life who cannot enjoy their life like normal human beings. It is so sad to imagine and to see a girl walking around with a oxygen tank dragged behind her.
It will also make you thank God for giving you a good life and pray for those who do not have.
Overall a light read i would say, do not have high expectations from this book – for it maybe disheartening to some.
