Burdened child

I looked at her,
It was just a moment’s gaze..Her hair cut short,

Like that of boy’s..
Her face and her clothes dirty,
Covered in dust from road..
There was a puddle of water,
And she stepped in it..
I felt for a moment,
She thought “wish i could play,
In this water like a normal person”..
But then there she was,
Right beside me..
Selling a pen,
Begging for alms..
There she was,
Trying to make a living,
A child not more than ten,
With No hopes in her eyes
