A child’s play

In response to FFfAW Challenge-Week of January 31, 2017

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Jessica Haines. Thank you Jessica for our photo prompt!

“Mamma, chip-chup-chwip-chwup”

“ooh! Come on! Did you find it again?”

“Mamma, pleaassssuuuuuu!! chip-chup-chwip-chwup”

“Ohh no!! Oh okay just this once alright… Go on now…”

Stamps the puddle with all force and looks up at me with bright smiling face and eyes with full excitement…

“Oh, sweetie! You like it isn’t it… See, now, your socks have become wet…”

Ignores my words and says: “ayepoyaaaa…! chip-chup-chwip-chwup.. Mamma Mamma Mamma…”

This is exactly, which happened with me and my toddler son wanting to splash the puddle. We were on our vacaction last weekend. Ayepoya in our native language means done, finished, over. The photo just reminded me of this and that’s why this silly conversation between me and him…

His excitement and smile and bright eyes looking at me for my approval of his naughtiness – All worth it in the end.

Until next time,

  1. My toddlers are the same – amazing how much fun they have in puddles! You captured it well.

  2. I love that this is basically a story about your toddler son playing in the puddles. So cute that he wanted to get your approval for him having fun playing in the puddle. Great story!

Puddles – such fun -as was your story.

  4. Ha! Nice way to leverage a memory into a story.
