FFfAW Week of 03-08-2016 – Flight of stairs takes you elsewhere

In response to Flash Fiction for Aspiring writers challenge (ps: this is my first time and giving this a try :))

FFfAW photo

Ah, I was so excited when mom told me, we’re going for a picnic.. 🙂 Yippie yay! She told me we’re going to the neighboring town and we will see the fort King Sushantha Singh Pattwardhan had built 250 years back.. I could so tell so many things about this picnic to my friends when I return to school next week…

I wore my favorite colorful dress and ran downstairs to my parents, who were waiting for me in the car. The moment we arrived at the garden, my excitement and thrill reached the peak, so did my parents’ warnings to not of wander off. Obviously, i ignored them..

We reached the fort entrance and once I saw the flight of steps, my heart nearly stopped beating; I could see the time freeze and suddenly I could see a King in his kingly attire extending his hand to me…
