A group of friends had come along with me – a group of us who had got tired of the hectic week at work. We all needed a break, we all needed to just camp and have fun. And this trip was just right for all of us.
We reached CLR on saturday afternoon, freshned up and had lunch.
The next agenda was to go to the jungle safari and we left at around – 2:30 PM. We boarded our Chevrolet Tavera and went for the safari.
This was my first jungle safari and trust me I would want to go for more of these as I could find the ultimate peace that I had been searching for. Peace means deadly peace – no sound, no pollution, just calm. I can still hear the “sound of peace” echoing in my ears. It was a normal summer afternoon – light breeze and sun getting ready to set in the horizon. At one point of time, there was no breeze, the vechicle engine off, no sound, no one talking, just SILENT. Just enjoyed the nature the whole of the time and by the end of safari all of us were energised and happy. We all did a little goof-ups with the sentences we spoke on our way and we all had just the superb time.
Came back to the camp at around 8 and we all were hungry and tired. There was a bonfire set for us, the fire rising high along with the wind – was just another spectcular moment. There were sleeping mats given to us, I laid down on the mat viewing the night summer sky. I hadnt seen the stars so bright – i do not remember the last time i looked up the sky to admire the stars….! City lights, city worries and city pollution doesnt give us the opportunity to admire the nature around us. I spent the night – nearly 2-3 hours talking and admiring and gazing the night sky. It was so good and brilliant that i have no words to it and if given a chance right now I would want to go back and do the same. 🙂
After the sky-gazing, we had our dinner and slept. The next day was more eventful than the previous one.
On Sunday morning, little after we all got up with the wake-up call by the birds and the bugs nearby, we wore our life-jackets and we all set ourselves for the rafting. This was a still-water rafting that we did and trust me it is equally fun as in river-rafting. We played in water for a long time – as we were forced to get back to the raft 🙁 Yet enjoyed the water on a sunday morning – leaving behind all our work, worries, city behind.
After the rafting and getting freshend up, we had the break-fast admist the birds chirping, cool wind blowing, sun rising high in the sky. Trust me, if in the city, we would not have time or even patience to admire the nature and its beauty. 🙂
After the break-fast, the long awaited task – rapling was scheduled for us. We were thrilled, excited, energised and none of our expectations were put down. What we expected, we got more than that. Rapling was just too amazing – i have literally no words for it. We need to conquer a 50 foot rock and none of us were very brave to do that in the first attempt. We did conquer the rock with our fear mixed with excitement. By the time I got down the rock, I was full of enthu, thrill, and anything one can imagine. Wow…!!! Best 2 days of my life with full excitement and fun. Just amazing. 😀
Just as we had thought infact more than what we expected, we got from this trip.
Recommended Activities for a person staying in the city for a long time (say 6 months):- Rapling, rafting, safari, night sky gazing, walk in the woods. :))
